All the things you might be wondering.

YOU ASKED. I ANSWERED.

Nope. Not always.

I love traveling with my partner, but I’m also very into the idea that you shouldn’t have to wait for everyone else’s schedule to magically line up before you go somewhere.

Some adventures are better shared, some are perfect solo, and some start because I got tired of saying “maybe another weekend.”

Q: ARE YOU ALWAYS TRAVELING WITH SOMEONE ELSE?

A mix of tripod, self-timer, my partner being recruited into photographer duty, and the occasional stranger who gets handed my phone with very specific instructions.

Honestly, a lot of my content is just figuring out how to capture the moment without letting filming the moment completely take over the experience.

Q: WHO TAKES YOUR PHOTOS WHEN YOU'RE EXPLORING?

Honestly? Mostly my iPhone.

Every once in a while I’ll pull out a 360 camera or send the drone up when I want a shot my phone just can’t get, but the majority of what you see around here is captured on the same thing that’s probably sitting in your hand right now.

I’m a firm believer that you don’t need thousands of dollars worth of camera gear to capture your adventures beautifully — you just need to know how to use what you already have.

Q: WHAT CAMERA DO YOU USE FOR YOUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS?

A slightly concerning mix of Google Maps, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, blog rabbit holes, roadside signs, random recommendations and me seeing one photo and deciding I now need to know everything about that place.

If it makes me think “wait… where IS that?” there’s a decent chance it ends up pinned somewhere.

Q: HOW DO YOU FIND ALL THESE PLACES TO EXPLORE?

Not even close.

I usually like having the important stuff figured out... where we’re sleeping, a few must-dos, any reservations we actually need, and then leave plenty of room for detours, random stops, and changing the plan because something better came up.

Basically: enough structure to avoid chaos, enough flexibility to still have an adventure.

Q: DO YOU PLAN EVERY TRIP IN DETAIL BEFORE LEAVING?

If I wouldn’t tell a friend “yes, absolutely go,” it probably doesn’t need to be on the blog.

I’m way more interested in sharing what’s genuinely worth the drive, climb, detour or money than trying to list every single thing there is to do somewhere.

Q: HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHAT’S ACTUALLY WORTH SHARING?

Mostly, but not always.

Some posts are based on my own trips and experiences, while others are curated from research, recommendations, and places I’m still very much planning to visit myself.

I’ll always try to make it clear which is which.

Q: DO YOU ONLY SHARE PLACES YOU’VE PERSONALLY BEEN?

Road trips, hiking, outdoor adventures, hidden gems, parks, nature, scenic routes, water adventures and the places that make you want to get off your phone and go see them for yourself.

You’ll also see coffee shops, food stops, stays, and other things that make the trip better... because obvi we still need snacks and caffeine.

Q: WHAT KIND OF TRAVEL EXPERIENCES DO YOU COVER?

Build out a converted camper vehicle (tbd on exactly which one) with my partner, take it on the road, and see just how far we can go.

The U.S. first. And ideally a very unreasonable number of places in between.

Then eventually… borders, ferries, other continents, and hopefully a lot of “how did we end up here?” moments.

Q: WHAT’S THE BIG DREAM?

Start MUCH smaller than you think you need to.

You don’t have to book a huge trip or suddenly become an outdoors expert. Pick one trail, one park, one town, or one place an hour away that you’ve never been to before.

Adventure gets a lot less intimidating once you stop thinking it has to be huge.

Q: I’M NERVOUS ABOUT GETTING OUT THERE MORE... ANY ADVICE?

PLEASE DO.

I am extremely easy to influence with a good view, clear water, a scenic road, or a trail that looks mildly ridiculous.

Send me a DM over on Instagram & I'll check out your recommendations asap!

Q: CAN I SEND YOU A PLACE YOU THINK I SHOULD CHECK OUT?

Yep.

I work with destinations, stays, and brands that make sense in the world of SheLivesOOO... especially travel, adventure, outdoor, hospitality, and lifestyle brands.

If you’ve got somewhere I should experience or something worth bringing along, I’m all ears. Send me an email & let's connect.

Q: DO YOU WORK WITH BRANDS / TOURISM BOARDS / DESTINATIONS?

Still wanna know something?

Maybe you want to know whether a trail is actually worth it, where I’d go for a long weekend, what I use to film my trips or something I somehow haven't answered yet.

Ask away. I love talking about this stuff.

If you’re looking for your next place to explore, I’m your girl.

Hey, I'm Abigail

aka the adventure girlie behind @shelivesooo.

When I'm exploring, there’s usually an iced coffee in the cupholder, at least one completely unnecessary detour on the itinerary & a camera roll full of places I can’t believe actually exist.

I started SheLivesOOO because I want to see as much of this beautiful world as I possibly can — from the places hiding a few hours down the road to the ones that require a passport to get there.

So I’m road tripping, hiking, getting outside, trying new things & documenting the best of what I find along the way.

Come explore with me.
